June 12 - Higginsville, MO - Raining cats and dogs

I woke up at 6:30 AM after a pretty restful sleep. The leading edge of a storm system just reached town - thunder, lightning and very heavy rain. This is forecast to continue until around 1:00 PM. Checkout time is 11:00 AM so I plan to stay here as long as possible then move to a nearby McDs until the rain has past, or at least the heavy stuff. I'll move on down the road to somewhere this afternoon though not sure I'll make it to Arrowhead SP.
